Our Southern Appalachian style horns are typical of those once produced in that region. Most prominent is a domed base plug which sports a knob finial. The finial anchors one end of the leather carrying strap, the other end fits around a filed groove near the spout. This horn is accented with brass nails to fine-fit the base plug.
