Carbon steel, tempered to hold a good edge and finished with a nice, aged patina to give it that truly authentic look and feel. Further, each is fitted with a handle made form a period correct wood that is well documented. Sheaths are made from higher quality, vegetable tanned leather in a nice, dark brown color and include a belt loop.  The sheath will easily fit a belt up to 3" wide.

Typical of many hand forged blades, this 8-1/2" slim, tapered one features a satin finish and some forging marks remaining. The genuine Curly Maple handle is fitted with a copper ferrule (guard) and secured to the round tang with an iron washer at the butt end of the handle with the tang peened in place to hold it. Furnished with its own fitted leather sheath, it is 13-1/2" long overall.
