The Cartouche Knife was one of the most extensively traded knives in 17th and 18th century North America, and ours is accurately reproduced based on originals excavated at such famous Eastern Fur Trade sites as Grand Portage, Ft. Michilimackinac, and Northwest Company trading posts. It sports stylish filigree brass plates that are compressed onto heated horn to form a very unique and attractive handle. With its full tang 6" carbon steel blade that is 5/32" thick, this is a true American Classic, with an overall length of 9-1/4". The optional sheath features vegetable tanned leather to protect from rust, a welt to protect stitching, belt loop on back, and handsome tooled embossing.
