Candles are carefully hand-poured using filtered, 100% pure beeswax.  Slow-burning and clean, beeswax was a valuable substance in the 18th century.  During colonial times, candles were the main source of light during the long, dark, nighttime hours.  Beeswax smells great and lasts a lot longer than tallow.
