• Frock Girls Pattern
This is a pattern for a Girl’s Frock – a term for a dress in the period – c. 1790-1820. It is a simple frock with two short sleeve styles, plus optional detachable lower sleeves, giving this frock multi-seasonal use. There is also a pattern for an optional Sash. The design is inspired by the instructions in The Lady’s Economical Assistant, 1808.
The frock has a back opening with a drawstring neckline and waistline so it is quite adjustable.
It includes Girl’s sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6X, 7, 8, 10, 12 in one package.
This pattern should fill the gap between prairie and colonial styles, and be practical for “pre-1840” events.
