This is a reproduction belt buckle or cartridge box buckle made of solid brass. Charleville Strap Equipment Buckles - 1-1/8" have not be available for quite some time, so we had them reproduced to match original examples. They are a must for authentic reproductions of various military straps and were popular with militia and civilians as well. Made in solid brass, these are excellent quality buckles that are hard to find. The buckle is polished and has a brass tongue installed on the middle bar.
